    OMSD Nutrition Center

In June 2021, we were delighted that the Ontario-Montclair School District Nutrition Center joined our community grow pod classes. The Nutrition Center is responsible for the essential kitchen, developing recipes for middle school sites, and more. Recently, while checking in with the center, we were able to speak with Kristine Naramore (Nutrition Specialist) on the center's experience with the grow pod we gave them.

Naramore explained that the grow pod was easy to use. The center was having such a successful outcome which encouraged them to start their very own garden where they transferred their growing veggies/herbs from the grow pod!  The center has now been using the herbs and veggies they've grown to make school meals. They have passed on the grow pod to Nurse Belinda from Lincoln Elementary who will now be growing.
